Medical Needs Coordinator

Reepham High School and College is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed person to join our team, and to take the above role.

The successful person will be an excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills, and has to be able to relate to our pupils so that strong rapport and trust is developed.

This role will form a vital aspect of, and contribute significantly to the care we provide for our pupils. Relevant First Aid training and experience


Key Tasks

  • To lead a team of First Aiders.
  • To be the main First Aid provider on a daily basis.
  • To develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of pupils’ medical needs.
  • To liaise with parents to implement Care Plans previously formed by parents and health professionals.
  • To oversee the storage and administration of medicines as appropriate when necessary.
  • To maintain meticulous records for all matters relating to First Aid and Medical Needs.
  • To ensure the wider staff are aware of pupils’ medical issues and their management.



The post holder will report to the school’s SENCO.


17.5 hours a week - 11am-2.30pm each day. This can be slightly flexible.   


Grade C - £8.09 - £8.55 per hour.

Be aware that the successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.


Volunteer Minibus Drivers required


Minibus Drivers are required on an ad hoc basis to drive for school trips or some sports matches. 

You will need to have at least a D1 licence and may also be required to undertake driver safety training arranged through Norfolk County Council.

All volunteers will be asked to provide the names of two people who can vouch for their suitability to volunteer with Reepham High School and College (part of Synergy Multi Academy Trust).


The volunteering role requires volunteers to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check formerly known as a CRB check.

Under Section 4 (2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exception Order 1975) spent convictions must also be declared.
